Come learn about using biosolarization as a means for organic soil disease control with SCG and Jason Hirtz of Box Turtle Farm. We will discuss the methodology behind biosolarization and how it can help control soil-borne pathogens, pests, and weed seeds through thermal inactivation, toxic volatile compounds, and enhanced microbial antagonism.
No registration is necessary for this in person event, however selecting 'Going' on the Facebook event is helpful for planning purposes. Please be sure to bring appropriate sun protection, a water bottle, and bug repellent if you desire. There is a porta potty on site but we recommend using restroom facilities prior to your arrival.
