The most common contaminant in urban soils is lead. While not all properties impacted by soil lead should be used for growing crops, in most cases it is safe to grow using proper management practices. This webinar will provide information on the health effects of lead, sources for lead in soils, lead uptake into food crops, and best management practices.
We will be joined by industry experts Dr. Sabine Martin, President and owner of CTOR Solutions and Lora Miller, BSN, RN, Public Health Nurse/Child Care Health Consultant for the Springfield-Greene County Health Department.
